Landau is a small city close to the Weinstrasse, some 50 km south-west of Mannheim. For a Mannemer like me it is typically off the radar. To my shame... i have never been there! Today i was struck by the wealth and beauty of the well-contained building structure. Mannheim was flattened in the war.
Landau ist eine kleinere Stadt in der Nähe der Weinstrasse, etwa 50 km südwestlich von Mannheim. Ein Mannemer wie ich kann nicht viel mehr dazu sagen ... zu meiner Schande ... ich war noch nie da! Heute hat mich die Vielfalt und Schönheit der erhaltenen Bausubstanz total überrascht. Mannheim wurde im Krieg plattgemacht.
