Virtual Art Academy (VAA) Outside Color Studies:

Was asked to say a few more words about them.....
- only use 7 to 10 shapes. Each shape of constant color. No edgework.
- composition of the shapes: unequal space devision, dominant value, etc.
- max 1h per study and try to get them down to 20 min over time.
- do 100 studies over a period of 3 to 6 months.
Better color is the main goal of the exercise but one also learns to simplify, see and paint the shapes not objects, improves working speed.

The VAA is the most comprehensive online learning program i am aware of. Great and inexpensive!

Tatort Ludwighafen

Spent this morning with a friend on a bridge over the highway A650 near Ludwigshafen. She is kept looking out for a turqoise truck with front damage, that caused an accident last week and after stopping for few seconds....drove away... leaving her behind injured in her destroyed car.
